Pengembangan Aplikasi Point of Sale (POS) dan Manajemen Stok Berbasis Android dengan Pendekatan Human-Centered Design (HCD): Studi Kasus UMKM Chicken Renggo
Abstract
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the economy, yet growth is often hindered by minimal technology adoption and limited digital literacy among operators. Manual transaction and stock recording at Chicken Renggo MSME leads to operational inefficiencies and data inaccuracies. This research develops an Android-based Point of Sale (POS) and stock management application using a Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach to address this digital literacy gap. A Research and Development (R&D) methodology with Inspiration, Ideation, and Implementation phases was applied to design a cognitively-light interface using Figma, with a functional prototype built on Flutter and Laravel. The system incorporates an offline-resilient mechanism using local SQLite storage with user-triggered synchronization to preserve data transparency. Validation was conducted through Black-Box Testing confirming functional and failure-path scenarios, preliminary System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation involving two key operational users (n = 2) resulting in an indicative score of 85 (categorized as Excellent within a micro-case study scope), supported by expert judgment triangulation from UI/UX and F&B practitioners. Results indicate that integrating HCD with offline-resilient mechanisms effectively addresses MSME needs.
